The DPM Mechanical Captured Recoil System is a direct replacement of the factory recoil rod and it doesn't require any configuration before the installation.

 The system provides nearly double the force at the end of the slide's full open position. Compared to the factory OEM spring, it delivers additional resistance that helps reduce the violent impact on the frame. As a result, the slide closes smoothly on the frame and produces less felt recoil. Finally, the pistol’s moving parts are better protected, extending the overall lifespan of the firearm.
