The DPM Mechanical Captured Recoil System is a direct replacement of the factory recoil rod and it doesn't require any configuration before the installation.

The system provides nearly twice the force at the end of the slide’s full-open travel. Compared to the factory OEM spring, it offers increased resistance that helps reduce the slide’s impact on the frame. This results in smoother slide operation, reduced felt recoil, and enhanced protection for the pistol’s moving parts, ultimately extending the firearm’s service life.
