The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System is a drop-in upgrade that replaces the factory recoil rod and doesn't require any modifications to your pistol.

This system works using a special rod with three springs. One of the springs is inside the rod (non-visible) and helps control how the slide moves, so it doesn't slam into the frame when cycling.

The kit includes three spacers (each a different length), a spring plug, a red pressure plate tool, a metallic cup screw tool, and three external springs. The longer spacer gives you a stronger buffer effect, while the shorter spacers reduce that effect for a lighter feel.

The washers only affect how much resistance the slide has when fully open, and the external springs only affect how the slide closes (when it’s in battery).

Clear installation instructions are included. The external springs also come in different lengths—the longer spring is stiffer, and the shorter one is softer. This lets you fine-tune how the slide opens and closes to match your personal shooting preferences.
